"A Walk on the Wild Side"

Friday, June 20 at the Goldpetals Barn
11 am - 12:30pm
$20 donation

Plant identification and talk with herbalist Kate Gilday from Woodland Essence and Ellen White Weir from Goldpetals.  We will walk the woods and fields, and learn much about the culinary, medicinal and folklore of our wild plants, trees, mushrooms and more. Rain or shine.

Kate Gilday is a practicing herbalist, flower essence practitioner and teacher who is presently completing training as an Ayurvedic Lifestyle Consultant and working with Collaborative Healing, a group of practitioners in upstate New York who address health care through a unique integrative network educating the community and combining conventional medicine with expert complementary care. She brings her love of the wild places, song and healing to the workshops she presents throughout the Northeast.

"Roadside Flower Arrangements"
Sunday, July 27, 11am-12:30pm
$20 donation

Horticulturist/Author Patricia Thorpe of Cooperstown, will walk us through the fields, identify wild flowers for beautiful flower arrangements - and, we will get her expert advice on how to make the best arrangements - all from our backyards! Please bring a container/vase and walking shoes.

Wild herb

"Making Herbal Salves and Potions"

Saturday, July 19 at the Goldpetals Barn
9 am - 1pm
$75 per person, materials included

Workshop with Ellen. Everyone will go home with a healing salve, cream or potion of their choice. This workshop is for adults, young adults or children (not combined age groups). Lunch will be provided. Bring your swimsuit.

"Nature walks with Ellen"

This is a great chance to reconnect with the natural world. Let's take some time and smell the roses, eat the daisies, and maybe even talk to the plants! Gather some friends together(adults or children), and give me a call or email. I also will work individually with people going through tough life transitions. Getting to know the world around us, can be a life altering experience.

Herbal Workshops can also be created for your special needs. A party, a visiting friend, a family event...We will make healing salves, tinctures, and other plant medicine. $20. per person. workshops are 1.5 hours in duration at the Goldpetals Barn, 539 Christian Hill Road.

EW as a BA in Art, and a Masters in Clinical Psychology. She has been a studying plants and making her Goldpetals products for many years.
